With the Round Robin Nearly Complete, Ange Delerce and Eric Monnin are Neck and Neck

Ledro, June 20th, 2026 – Battling unpredictable weather conditions, the Race Committee of the OM International Ledro Match Race—the only match racing event held in Italy carrying Grade 2 status on the World Match Racing Tour—managed to bring the Round Robin, which began yesterday, close to completion.

Bringing an early end to the day’s racing was a weather disturbance that, today just like yesterday, halted the thermal exchange around 3:00 PM, preventing the breeze from blowing consistently.

Current Standings

Despite the disruptions, the numerous matches completed have helped shape the scoreboard. The event is currently led by Ange Delerce and Switzerland’s Eric Monnin (a former European champion in this discipline). The leading duo holds a comfortable lead over the rest of the fleet:

  • Ange Delerce: 90% (9-1)

  • Eric Monnin (SUI): 89% (8-1)

  • Lennard Bal (NED): 67% (6-3)

  • Riccardo Sepe (ITA): 63% (5-3)

  • Christian Hamilton (No. 1 Seed): 63% (5-3)

  • Michal Gryglewski (POL): 13% (1-7)

  • Angelos Papageorgiou (GRE): 0% (0-9)

Looking Ahead to the Finals

These percentages could become crucial if it proves impossible to complete the qualification round. However, looking at the weather forecast, PRO (Principal Race Officer) Fabio Barrasso remains confident they will finalize the Round Robin before moving straight into the knockout phase, starting with the semifinals.

This is the expected schedule for the final day, which will culminate in the award ceremony. The overall winner will be presented with a brand-new perpetual trophy, specially commissioned by the Associazione Vela Lago di Ledro to celebrate this landmark 15th edition.
