Completata la prima semifinale (vinta da Lennard Bal): domani i match decisivi!

Lago di Ledro, 28 giugno 2024 – È entrata nel vivo l’edizione 2025 dell’OM International Ledro Match Race, unico Grado 2 in Italia valido per il World Match Racing Tour, organizzato dall’Associazione Vela Lago di Ledro: completato il Round Robin in condizioni di vento leggero ma costante, ad accedere alle semifinali sono stati l’estone Mati Sepp, passato come primo seppur a pari punti con il campione uscente Rocco Attili, l’olandese Lennard Bal e il francese Tom Fucher.

Immediati sono iniziati i voli validi per le semifinali con Lennard Bal che ha eliminato Mati Sepp con un secco tre a zero, mentre Tom Fucher ha fatto rientro in banchina sul due a zero nei confronti di Rocco Attili, chiamato all’impresa per ribaltare la situazione.

Il PRO Fabio Barrasso conta di completare le semifinali domani di buon mattino e, contestualmente, di dare il via ai match utili a definire la parte bassa della classifica, sfruttando il format noto con il nome di King of the Castle.

Ricordiamo che l’OM International Ledro Match Race si concluderà domenica con la disputa della restante semifinale e delle finali, cui seguirà la cerimonia di premiazione.

First Semifinal Completed (Won by Lennard Bal): Decisive Matches Tomorrow!

Lake Ledro, June 28, 2024 – The 2025 edition of the OM International Ledro Match Race, the only Grade 2 event in Italy valid for the World Match Racing Tour and organized by Associazione Vela Lago di Ledro, has reached its most intense phase. The Round Robin was completed in light but steady wind conditions, and the skippers advancing to the semifinals are Estonia’s Mati Sepp (ranked first despite tying in points with defending champion Rocco Attili), the Netherlands’ Lennard Bal, and France’s Tom Fucher.

The semifinals began immediately, with Lennard Bal defeating Mati Sepp in a decisive 3–0 sweep. Meanwhile, Tom Fucher returned to shore with a 2–0 lead over Rocco Attili, who now faces the challenge of mounting a comeback to stay in contention.

PRO Fabio Barrasso aims to complete the semifinals tomorrow morning and, at the same time, begin the matches that will determine the lower part of the standings, following the well-known King of the Castle format.

We remind you that the OM International Ledro Match Race will conclude tomorrow, Sunday June 29th, with the remaining semifinal and the finals, followed by the prize-giving ceremony.
